A man has been charged over an alleged drink spiking incident at a hotel in Newtown last week.
The woman sat at a table with the group and was drinking a cocktail before leaving her drink unattended to use the bathroom. Police will allege a 28-year-old man sat down at the table and leaned over the woman’s drink and spiked it with GHB.
The woman returned to her seat and consumed the beverage before collapsing.
